High speed integrated circuits design has many challenges associated with it. The aim of this talk it to overview some of these challenges with a special focus on issues relating to signal integrity. Different issues with be elucidated and then their solutions will be explained from the basics students learn in their early years of undergrad study. The motivation is to give the students a perspective of a designer and how they trade off between a lot of design requirements, but the solution to each of those requirement comes from the very basics they study in their undergrad.

the talk focus towards two emerging job markets, specifically 5G and Autonomous Driving. and giving a brief introduction to these and explains why these are good markets for the new graduates to target.
